hello world. At long last its the weekend. TGIF!!!
i feel so drained this week..late nights have been taking its toll on me. i need to have better time management. As i learnt from Modern Levites conference, as musicians we need to be worshippers not just onstage, but also offstage. Our lives must be an act of worship to God. But this week i feel that its been a struggle for me. i chose to make certain decisions out of convenience, even though i knew it did not glorify God. But it is not by my might, nor by power, but by His spirit (Zechariah 4:6) that will help me overcome my weaknesses, and i must make the deliberate choice not to compromise any longer:)
Next week is madness. Two-oh-seven midterm on Friday. Percussion Assesment on Monday. Org comm essay. A certain someone's 21st in the middle of the week hahaa. ohhmyy and individual presentation on Tuesday for GV17 my vocal module! i need to start singing like nobody's business this week heh. Music cadences homework by Thursday. LOTS of music theory to catch up on. argh. The music analysis module is getting better..dr chong's really quite good at explaining stuff and everything's kinda at the back of my head and ive a vague notion about most things, but its gotta be at the top of my head and not the back of my head! hahaa looong sentence. But its quite frustrating, being out of touch from theory for so long. i feel like ive to constantly play catch up. Being in a class of music teachers, masters students and nie students can be quite daunting too. it is interesting though. i only wish i took MEP, olevel music, or alevel music before, itd make life so much easier.
Some other things thats been going on.. training for stan chart. hahaa ive 55km of mileage to make up for the previous two weeks. Joining darren's band for jam sessions next week. We're still lacking a bassist though. ohh ill finally be starting guitar lessons! :):):) hahaa everyone thinks ive been having lessons all this while, but ive put it on hold after only one lesson cuz its quite costly. But after much persuasion the rents have agreed to sponsor most of it, so its now much more affordable for me. Thank God!
